Taneeka Bourgeois-daSilva is an award-winning author, credentialed teacher, blogger, and entrepreneur. She has over ten years’ experience as a teacher and is the author of the Little Kids, Big Voices book series. She has taken several creative writing courses through the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program and has two Master’s degrees. She is CEO of Building Voices and TCD Kids Foundation, and is a member of SCBWI and IBPA. Her first book, Broccoli Chronicles won the 2015 National Indie Excellence Award, Honorable Mention in the 2014 Foreword Reviews’ INDIEFAB Book of the Year Awards, and silver place in the 2015 Moonbeam Children’s Book Award! Taneeka’s article’s, “Try, Try Again” and “Feedback That’s Fulfilling” were both published in the IBPA’s Independent Magazine.

Alvina was born in Hawaii and moved to Southern California where she grew up and enjoyed the beautiful weather and art around her. Alvina has loved drawing and painting ever since she could hold a pencil. When she was young she didn’t have a camera, so whenever she saw beautiful things, she opened her sketchbook and drew what she saw. Alvina graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Illustration and has fifteen years’ experience illustrating. Alvina has been featured in Artist’s Magazine, Skipping Stones, Utah Valley Magazine, The Daily Herald, and Sugar Art and Fashion Show. She has also done work for Ladybug Magazine, KRBY Creations LLC, The Friend Magazine, and many others.
As a social media consultant, Julia manages & monitors various social media networks for companies/brands and manage online communities. As an editor, she strives to rescue excess apostrophes, save spliced commas, and repair injured & abused words. As a writer, she brings creativity & passion to the written word. Julia currently holds a B.A. in English.
